Witch Punch aka Apple Cider Spritz
Make one for you, make a bowl for the block
It’s never not drinking season in Savannah, but with the winds shifting the cocktail dial has turned up a notch (or ten). I don’t typically like to hit seasonal riffs on the nose but here I am, one pumpkin and two apple recipes deep just in the last month.
It all started with a jar of apple cider I bought at the store that was so subpar I couldn’t believe I wasted $8 on it. Got myself a $7 dollar bag of apples to really prove a point, then proceeded to make the most gorgeous batch of apple cider of the season. Pink-hued, deeply apple and spiced flavored and it begged to be turned into a cocktail. As history goes, I am a margarita and spritz ho. I’ll turn any flavor combo into one of those two cocktails so here I go again.
The main difference here is just enough of a hit of cinnamon syrup that rounds out the drink into a true fall delight. It’s a sneaky bitch cocktail because it’s so balanced you can’t really taste the alcohol, so beware when you make a punch bowl’s worth. This baby was inspired by a punch we make at the holidays called No Tomorrow Punch so I think you can figure out the warning signs there.
Recipe for one on IG, enough for party down below.
Happy Scorpio season, friends! Start it off with a witchy bang.
